Question Anyone running Flowmasters on 4.7????

Anyone running this set up?

http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/sh...oducts_id=4073

Good set-up or crappy waste of money?

Apparently Magnaflow doesnt make a kit to dual out a 2007 4.7 1500......

I d@mn sure wouldn't pay almost $500 plus shipping for an exhaust. Go to your local exhaust shop and have them make you a setup. You could probably get a magnaflow put on with dual exit and tips for $350 or so if you shop around and you'll have it done that day and no waiting on something to arrive. I know places around here that are kind of slow and would be willing to do it on the cheap right now just to have the business.

Wasn't really planning on buying directly from them.... I am sure I can get one from somewhere else cheaper, or at the very least, locally so that I dont have to pay for the shipping.

I was most likely going to install myself with a helping hand ( and use of his shop) of a gear head I work with.

Was mainly just wondering if anyone was running flowmaster. Seems like everyone is always saying mangaflow and was wondering who was using flowmaster. on the other hand, if no one was running flowmaster why not? Just beacuse of the price? or is it a quality issue? I know from the exp of modding other vehicles, that some brands of after market systems just seem to work better with certain vehicles. If that is the case, then thats understandable.

One thing I did like about this kit is that it came with the option of out the back or the side.... Haven't really made up my mind yet which I want to go with, so the option of trying both to see which I liked better was a plus.

I'm running a original 40 SIDO, over 2 years and not a spec of rust, I've been happy with it. I LOVE the sound of it, the ONLY complaint I have is the droaning sometimes. I'm thinking about putting on a bigger muffler and a cut-out.

So i just did a bunch of looking and as far as exhaust shops in my area it looks like I have the wonderful options of Midas or Mieneke. Mieneke has the online direct buying option. Using that, I can get the exact above listed system for 480 and free shipping. It also gives the option to ship it directly to my local store and have them install it. I have no idea what they would charge to install it though.......

What would one expect to pay for an install on a full system like that?

I paid $125 n had the guy come to my house n install. Original 40 series. Sounds awesome. Our 4.7 sounds much better than the 5.7 hemi.
