Agreed. But it is remarkable the difference in mpg I get pulling a 14k lb 5th wheel versus a buddy of mine that pulls a 10k lb travel trailer with a GMC 8.1L gas motor. I get about 12 to 14 pulling and he gets 8 to 9 NOT pulling.

I know the diesels have better mpgs, and see less loss while pulling, thats understandable for the people who use them, and I have no problem with people who dont use them, as long as they dont make stupid excuses for why they have them, if someone wants one, its up to them, but I wont believe anyone who says it is cheaper for them to own a diesel.

^^^Agreed again. I see a lot of high schoolers around here with diesels all jacked up and chipped out. I don't understand why they have them, I guess their parents have the money. But for adults who pay their own way, I say if you want it and can afford it, get it, who cares why.

I dont know, my old gas engine is going quite strong at 250k miles for the kid who bought it from me, I will also never own another truck past 200k miles, gas or diesel.

I like diesels, especially when they are fast. All we got in my area are farm trucks used for all the practical reasons they build trucks. How sad is that... Beside no one needs to rationalize what they drive to anyone here. Here's a custom diesel I was looking two years ago.

Thanks for the kind words fellas! I drove down to maryland monday night and bought this for a steal.. basically the same price i could've got an 06 hemi for... saw it pop up online and it was sold immediately!! The exhaust is a 5 inch turbo back with a 6 inch tip it has an edge juice with attitude and some 285's right now. I got 22mpg on the way home from MD so the gas mileage is undoubtably better. I also work construction and often tow a large dump trailer and I'm a huge fisherman in the market for another boat! Also this truck will probably be getting a plow in a few months... It will be a work truck I get my contractors liscense in january so I will be on my own and this truck will be my moneymaker takin the tools and equipment to the sites and takin the old stuff away! Next step.. mag hytechs... followed by a built trans... followed by shear evil!!! haha
