BullyDog GT.... Beating a dead horse?
Ok so i am about to pull the trigger on a cold air intake and a bullydog GT on what is a stock hemi with only a muffler. It has a 6" lift and 35" tires. The reason i am looking at this is for the better MPG and ofcourse the option to give her some more power. I also like the ability to change shift points. Anyway, what do you all think of this setup? Options? Help? I am an old school chevy guy so these newer trucks like this i am not that great with tuning. I am looking at almost 700 bones for the programer and the intake. Just wondering if you think its worth it or would another programmer and intake make me happier? Thanks everyone.
Go with a Superchips programer instead, order one or buy one with all the trans options and you'll be happier than a kid in a candy store. CAI, Well you could build one for $70 or you can buy one for $300+ they'll do about the same until you start really digging into the performance side of things.
Bully dog sucks for these trucks. Superchips and DiabloSport are the only two that have really nailed it. Superchips is better for you. And yes, you're beating a dead horse. Use the search function and you'd have found this answer by now.
i dont like superchips b.c of the $40 transmission upgrade fee. if u pay that much money then the update should be free. imo

After looking at their site it looks like it supports 05-10... So maybe it wont work on my 04?

they dont state that they support 03 or 04 because they dont support them 100%. There are a few things missing, although nothing major. I have a DSP with an 03, and weedahoe is using the Trinity on an 04.
Even with a few small things missing, its still way more than bullydog offers. Seriously man, dont even consider that brick. The performance numbers arent even close
