New ram owner!! Flowmaster with duals ?
Hey Guys,
I am the new proud owner of a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 reg cab 5.7 Hemi!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! I will try and get a picture and get it on here soon. I just got my degree and started working and this is my first full size truck. Money is a big thing but I want to slowly as fund allow start doing some mods. I think the first thing I want to do is to get a Flowmaster exhaust with duals. I am pretty clueless about this stuff. How can I expect that to cost me at a shop? I want to make sure that I don`t over pay. Also should I try to get a cat back? Should I get new tubing all the way from cad? As I said I am clueless so if you guys could tell me what I need so I will know what to tell the shop that would be great!! I am hoping for maybe alittle help with MPG and ofcourse any horse power increase is great.
A leveling kit is also something I want to get really soon. Who makes the best one?
Thanks!

If you are clueless IMO there is no better way to learn than to do some simple mods that can be accomplished with patience and hand tools. IMO spend a bit more money and buy a magnaflow cat back. You can bolt it on in your own drive way, It will not rust or drone like a flow master and the sound/quality is pretty much untouchable. So if I were you buy a nice magnaflow cat back either single or duals and get wrenching.
I've had Flowmasters, drone in the cab, REDUCED air flow (meaning WORSE PERFORMANCE) and rust out pretty fast.
But MOST guys get one, although they rarely get a second one. Shows you how effective advertising can be.
Once the FM lesson is leaned, a lot of guys get a Magnaflow, AeroTurbine or Borla. But for that classic, deep, throaty, "bug the neighbors" sound without the annoying drone of the Flowmasters and some really good cfm numbers, many of us have gone to Cherry Bombs!!!

They have Stainless Flowmasters now but IMO Flowmaster sounds cheap on a Ram. I'd either go with Magnaflow, Dynomax, or AT. They sound the best on Rams.

They’re many of great sounding exhaust out there. Do your home work and go with the one you like. Here's what the super 40's sound like in 360 degrees.
