Default Disarming the seatbelt alarm?

I'm all about safety first and all but Ey yi Yi the one thing that bothers me about my RAM is the darn seatbelt ding that goes off every 5 seconds before I can even get out of my parking lot at work...anyone here disarm that before? Any enlightening info on how to?

I disabled mine. Detailed instructions are in the owners manual. It has to do with turning the key on buckling belt, turning key off then on 3 times then unbuckling...some crap like that, can't remember specifically, but like I said, owners manual explains it pretty well...if nothing else go to the dealer, then can hook up the scanner and turn it off that way

Buckle the belt? I've used mine regularly for the past forty years. It's so automatic, I don't think about it any more.

I learned that lesson when I got blasted by a conversion van in my little saturn at the age of 17. I am a regular "seat belter" but enjoy to put it on without that unecessary beep to remind me. Already went out to the truck and did it. Thanks for the insight Marx.

I am a regular seatbelt wearer, but I still turned the alarm off. That thing is annoying when I'm trying to hook up to a trailer, backup a trailer, etc.
