Default Ram air hood intake? worth it?

I bought a bunch of stuff from a friend and he had a Ram air hood. Right now its orange but will be getting painted soon. Right now I have a K&N plastic tube CAI. But i have seen boxes that seal to the ram air hole in the hood and mount on top of the motor but not sure where to look. But my main question is, Is it worth it? Or should i just stick with what i have? Thanks

Heck yeah that looks good....

I like the headlights. I was thinking about getting some of those....now that I see how they look on a RAM, I think I will get some!

Like it.

I've got a scooped hood on my 05 Durango 5.7 after I decided it was a little too minivan-ish for me.

Sanded it, primed it and shot the underside with duplicolor, added the stickers and had a shop paint the outside.

I think the hood alone was $600 and probably $800 total by the time I was done, but it totally changes the front end of the truck. Looks much more rugged.

You'll need new wiper nozzles prolly, as they are a bitch to get out whole, and most of the fiberglas hoods have no provisions for reinstalling the hood insulator..

This one from Dedogg looks great:

Nice man! Get the hood and paint it, but don't make it a functional ram air. You'll regret it when it rains or when some water gets splashed up your hood. Whole lot of problems you dont want! Trust me.
