If you are still running the OEM LSD, I would suggest upgrading. As for Ram, if I had a 4wd it would be a 2500. As for a street truck, a 1500 doesn't need to carry all that extra wieght.

33" tall tires it's a coin toss. Less than 33" tires 4:10, bigger than 33" 4:56.
My tires are 30.5" and I turn 2000 rpm at 65 mph with a 4:10 gear.

Why? Mine are 31.25 and Im running with 4.56's, turning 2300rpm @65mph and still get 16+mpg.

They wont be that high, it'll put your overall gear ratio around a 3.73 or close to it. MPG's should go up in the city, hwy should be about the same or higher, mine went up on the highway as well, not by much, but it still went up. The only downside to 4.56's is your rear tires are going to hate you

Since you already have 3:92 I would lean toward 4:56 gear. Bob at Moe's steared me toward 4:10 because I'm running fairly short tire. I would not have a problem if I had gone to 4:56 gear. The numbers I previously mentioned is just a general rule of thumb. It really comes down to what the individual is comfortable with. Good luck..

but then you have "death wobble" issues to worry about. Not that I'm saying a SFA isn't the thing to have, but my point is ANY vehicle made by ANY company has certain problems these days as EVERY manufacturer is cutting corners wherever they can...
