Default Air Compressor Location

Everyone,

I have searched and haven't seen this topic fully covered.

Where has everyone located the Air Bag Air compressor?

How did you route your tubing into the Cab?

Where did you located your gauge and switch?

I have an 07 QC Hemi.

Mods: K&N Intake, JBA cat back, firestone bags, hellwig sway

You should fabricate a shelf under the cab on any side and bolt it to the frame. This puts the compressor in the middle of the vehicle making it easy to route your lines. I would imagine there is a control panel and leveling valves, Go to your manufactuers web page, they should have hints and tips.

This has been done before, just check the search function. Most people place them in the front of the truck between the frame rails.

cwboyjohnny24 thanks. I appreciate your search powers. I didn't fair as well.

Searched under the hood and dash. The hole for the clutch on the 07 has a plastic plate held on by two nuts. Easily accessed to drill holes for air lines and power lines.

A few pics of mine over time as I have moved it 3 times I think. I dont have any new pics of where I just out it but it is basically just like the pics cwboyjohnny used where I took some steel plating, cut it and bent it at work and put it under the radiator since my body lift gives me enough room to do so.

COTFAN, Is it an air tank/cpmpressor combo or just one of the small compressors that come with the air bag kits?

It is just a compressor for air bags.

I've settled on attaching it to the support leg and box of my K&N filter shield.

I have the routing of the lines down.

Next. How should I mount the control switch and gauge? I already have a trailer brake controller mounted next to the e brake.

Need your guys help on this one.
