Just have to get a fouler and drill it out and I'll be set.

Hopefully it'll run better then.

Well, here's where it gets more interesting...

So, I had then engine light on from the house to the muffler shop... then they bunged the hole and put the 02 sensor in and plugged the other one. Engine light all the way to work... All in all about a 6 mile trip.

I run it to get lunch, still on for another 6 mile trip.

I leave work and go get the non-foulers and the 1/2" bit. Jump back in the truck and the engine light is GONE!

Now I'm thinking this is ironic, it has turned the engine light off... in an attempt to run me insane as the very next thing I was going to do is drill out the nonfouler to plug in the sensor into it...

Well I figured it'd turn on going home, for sure it just hadn't sensed anything yet... nope. The dang thing was off for a whole 4 mile trip.

However, now I'm even more concerned -- why did it go out? Is my engine really running that clean, did it adjust the a/f mixture to compensate and now it's going to burn my valves... or, like another member who I was reading about, did the the light just burn out at just the right time to screw with me?

Should I just put the nonfouler in and call it good or if the light is off, just don't mess with it... what a predicament.

Plug in a OBD2 reader and see if there are any codes that need your attention, at least then you know your check engine light isnt burnt out

Are you running the stock cat or did you completely remove it? If its in there you shouldn't need the nonfouler, that being said I have heard of guys running without the cat aand rear o2 nonfouler and not having any codes for a while, but it always pops up again... it just takes its sweet time sometimes

Got to thinkin about it. It might be because they are only reading one side o the engine.

Not running a cat at all. Front o2 plug is in bung on passenger side header.
Second bung is on extension pipe. Didn't need to extend wires that way. That was convenient.

Ive got an early 04 so IDK if that makes any difference but yeah i mounted them with no hole or thread mis-alignment.

He's got an 03 and I have a later 04 (build I believe is may 04) so it is weird that your build probably falls in between our trucks but you didn't have the same probelm that we both had with the passenger side header. You must have gotten lucky with your truck.
