help please with my 180 t-stat

Default help please with my 180 t-stat

so i pulled my theromostat out to put my 180 in and they look nothing alike.

this is the one that came out of my truck:

As long as the diameter is the same and has no fitment issue, it should work. Different manufacturers have different designs. The new one just has the spring inside the outer casing instead of being exposed.

hmm could be the right one. ive never used mr. gasket. as said before, as long as it fits, it should be ok

Running the same Mr.Gasket one as you and Yes was surprised too at the size of the stock one, just don't forget the rubber seal LAO (must have taken it off Pic prior). I did get a CEL and code two or three times during warm-up in cold weather (took too long to warm up) but since I got my e-fan it hasn't happened. I read somewhere the Jet which is more expensive has a pin hole or releif something that eliminated the code problem and perhaps thats why it cost more, but in my case I got 2 of the Mr.G's for what a Jet would cost and at the time nobody had them in stock anyways.

Sorry read your last re: gasket, might be dealer part?
