Default Performance Chips 5.9L

Does anyone know if they have Performance Chips for 5.9L that will help with gas mileage? Also are they really worth it?

You'll get NICE performance gains, but mileage, maybe 1-2 mpg topps with the mileage tune. That 5.9 gasser is a tank and if properly taken care of will last forever, but fuel economy was never a strong suite!!!

nothing in the world will help the 5.9 with gas mileage. i have an older model superchips tuner for mine and its absolutely great. even on the 87octane setting it really helps alot..

the only thing you can do for mileage with a 5.9 is keep your foot out of the pedal.
and good luck with that! lol

i live in a very hilly area and constantly drive a curvy 20mile hilly stretch of highway, with normal driving my onboard comp says avg mpg is 11-12 on this stretch of road. but with some very conservative driving i was able to pull a 20-21mpg average on the same stretch. and i have done this "test" at least 3 times with the same results.. it all about the pedal.

Well you are doing GREAT!!! My '98 RCSB 5.9 was lucky to get 11.5 mpg on trips! Average was about 9! Although I did have 35" tires on it...

First trip I took after I bought the Hemi (the truck was still stock except for 33" Mickey Thompson tires and wheels) and I hit 17.8, I thought I died and went to heaven!!!

i would hit up sean form SCT!! and get a custum tune and get torque management removed

also my superchips is awesome i had the death flash and was a brand new truck with new found power ... if i woulda known about sct i would have gone that route rather than anything else

i have had the hypertech max energy, jet chip, and superchip 3815. the hypertech was the best for fuel economy and the 3815 is the best for performance. that is with them set to performance level. i also have 35 tires and get about 10mpg. i will be going with the sct before long too. probably gonna be my next purchase. but i am looking for performance not fuel mileage.
