cheap way to gain horse power
cold air intake..... either make one your self or buy one- either way the performance will be the same. making one yourself will save a couple hundred bucks.
not to sure of the power wire-- maybe just putting a body ground to the throttle body. heard of tuner cars doing that- aparently it gives your better throttle reponse because it will ground faster to the body then going to through the wire harness to the ecm.

Programmer will probably get you about 15hp, exhaust/intake together maybe 10hp total, im not sure on the impact of a higher flowing TB on the 4.7L, if the stock TB flows enough it could mean 0hp gain, but if your truck is craving some more air flow aftermarket TBs can net you as much as 15-20HP (typically on the top end)
i have just finished putting a set of jba headers on my 05 4.7 and it really opened up the response from bottom end throught the mid-range, the problem with the 4.7 is its a high reving engine so it takes a little while to get our 7,000 pound trucks moving, my son has the hemi qc and it can get going a lot better---he also has about 100 more ponies. but i got a good deal at autoanything, com. plus free shipping! by the way it was much easier to jack the entire
front end up and pull both inner fender liners than to do what the instructions said!

Well you just lost some HP off of stock by putting that restrictive Flowmaster muffler on it. Great muffler for sound, lousy muffler for performance.
CAI, a Superchips tuner and cutting that muffler off and replacing it with one with a decent CFM rate would be where I'd start. CAI can be made easily for under $65 (or bought for about $300). For flow rates of some popular mufflers you can check here:
