My dealer used a DRB III to disable my DRL's on my '04 QCSB...
it was funny, 'cause the service manager insisted he could do it, and sent one of his techs out to the parking lot to connect and re-program to no avail.
He then took a stab at it himself, changed the country code to USA from Canada and KaBoom - DRL's were shut off.

Now I can pull into a campground late at night and not irritate everybody.

Wait a minute Hammer - you said low beams, for that matter?

You mean your fuse box jumper mod can enable full-time low beams?
Does this lead to any problems with all the current from the high beam filament and the low beam filament being combined on the common (as in too much current melting the wire or bulb connector?)

I hadn't tried your jumper mod yet, but if this is the case then I'm going to have to get right on it ASAP.

snap-on makes a scan tool that is capable of doing many related programing options, its again expensive at $6000 a pop but some shops may have them, i found one here that a shop had for about 6 months until it was repoed by the tool man for an unpaid tool bill

You could just rewire the fogs to a separate switch, I suppose.

Don't get behind me with the fogs and high beams on. I will take evasive action. lol! But on a serious note fogs and high beams are illegal in my state ,The infraction is over illumination reasonable (unreasonable).
I was wondering if this scanner can un lock all the doors like the 2010 journey can?My o6 , well I was told it could not be done.

Well Rocket, in Louisiana its illegal to have your fogs on with your low beams, but you could have as many as you want when the high beams are on

This said, just about every new vehicle has fogs and they are all only set with the low beams

Nope...it's for an 04. I just got done installing a pair of Rigid Industries 10" LED's behind the grill (one spot, one flood). These things are awesome, but I still want more light. I'd like all four headlights and the fogs on with high beam. The LED's will only be used off-road. Sooooo...about that DIY?
