Master install kit has all the bearings, races, pinion seal, shims, pinion nut, ring bolts and crush sleeve.
The better kits come with Timken bearings.

Have them yank the clips out, many people have run without them for a long time with no problems.

and when the time comes, I'd run an Auburn LSD, clutch types lock up faster than the DTT. ALL the 4x2 "track guys" I know opt for the Auburn for faster times.
DTT for a 4x4 or 4x2 off road truck, Auburn for street and track. (yeah, I know I have an off-road truck and an Auburn, it works...)

Good post jusjay my diff is whinning again after 2 years from being rebuilt from the dealer. Im thinking of getting this kit from moes also.
http://moesperformance.com/index.php...oducts_id=9046

with 456 gears . I have a couple questions
Will it improve gas mileage or use up more?
Does this kit have everything i need ? I know i still need oil.
I use my truck for street. and also want to hit some simple trails im hoping it will help with off road. My truck is not a 4x4 and i want to take it hunting hoping i wont get stuck.
Sorry dont mean to thread jack.

Probably the most asked question after "what size tire..." is about gears and MPGs.

Is probably in this section a couple of hundred times at least. But to answer your question, you should see a small improvement in MPGs in town and combo driving and maybe a slight one or two mpg decrease on the interstates, usually up over 70 mph or so.

Probably the single best mod for getting power to the rear wheels and extending the life of the transmission.

You may spin a tire a little quicker off-road however, since the rpms are higher at less throttle.

A good aftermarket LSD is the key to traction (especially with a 4x2) off-road...

You might add axle seals while you have it apart, they are not included in the Master Install kit. If there is any way for you to include a differential whether it be Detroit/Auburn you will have saved yourself a good deal of money in the long run. My shop did mine in four hours.

your local dealer probably has one guy that specializes in drivetrain/suspension work. they will more than likely be capable however these jobs or more commonly seen by a tech in a transmission/drivetrain shop. A transmission speacialty shop is usually the best bet because there is usually a tech there that does spider gear work all the time which would make them extremely familiar with rear differential rebuilds

The correct name for them is "clutch pack retaining clips".
Yes, Moes master install kits include Timkens.
