Default Trouble with eFan Mod??

I have the Taurus efan mod in my 07 and i'm having trouble with the fuse blowing on the control relay module. The fan worked when I first installed it for about 2 weeks before the first fuse went, after replacing the fuse it blew immediately. So I replaced the control module relay which worked for about 2 weeks again....now same thing.

Any suggestions????

The Taurus fan needs a 70A or 75A relay as it can pull over 40A when on High. Also, it has a 120A spike/surge when turned on. Most kits only come with a 40A relay and can't handle the surge when the motor is turned on.

i run my taurus fan on low and i beleive i got a 30 or 35 amp circuit breaker instead of using a fuse.

Ok, that's what I was looking for. So which one do you recommend? Or should I just try using a higher fuse? I think the relay is only rated for 40A but the relay included was 30A.

It's not just the fuse you need to worry about, those small bosch relays burn also. Here's what I ran with my efan (I've had a mark viii and a viper fan. Never a problem with either.

My taurus efan is using a standard 30/40a SPDT relay and a 25amp fuse. I only use the low side. Eventually I will get into using the high side and beef everything up.

Eventually you will burn up that relay and then you'll say "I wish I listened to Frog...."

I know but being Ive got like 10 of them left over from my alarm install I will just swap it out. I know we talked about this once before and eventually I will go with a bigger relay and fuse and use the high speed
