Default Leveling kit and a rough country lift

I am looking at this kit for me 2005 dodge ram 4x4. http://www.roughcountry.com/dodge_4wd_02-05_5x.html

Am I correct in saying that if I get the 3" blocks that the truck will not be level? If that is correct can I put torsion bar keys on the front to level it?

Thanks

Level keys will make the truck sit higher in the front.

This kit will give you 4" of lift and will be level with the 2" blocks, you have the option of adjusting your stock keys up an inch by cranking the adjustment bolts and this will give you the 5" lift, perfectly fine as 1" of crank is not going to stress the CVs. If you plan on doing this, you opt for the 3" blocks to sit level.

No need in spending any extra money...

When I installed my 4" Rancho kit, I actually had to crank my keys DOWN about a half inch to sit level with the supplied 2" blocks. Although I am going to have to get under there and do a bit of adjusting because almost 5 years and the added weight of a grill guard and winch has settled my front and I'm about 1/2" lower now, but because I lowered it a bit on install I have all kinds of room for upward adjustment with the bolts...

Thanks! Is 1 inch of lift really going to make that much difference? I mean could you tell the difference between a ram with 4 inches and 5 inches of lift?

an inch of lift is pretty visible with the naked eye, it doesn't sound like much, but it will make a difference. I have a 2" lift on my Jeep and the stance is night and day different.

Could also mean a world of difference as far as tire fitment goes depending on what size tire you opt for.

An inch of extra articulation is a big deal when off-road also.

I have all kinds of room for wheel travel at 4" of suspension lift and 35" tires but any bigger on the tire and I'd want more space under there.

If you do opt for the 2" blocks and want to go higher at some point in the future, you can stack blocks, as long as you don't exceed 4" and almost all auto parts stores have or can order 1" blocks for about $30 or so a set...

i have a question i want to chime in with. i installed the rough country leveling kit on my 04 1500. it said it was going to raise the front 2 in but when i got the new torsion keys in and started cranking them up more i feel like im going to break the bolts, its that tight. i got 1 inch out of it but i would like to get 2. it still isnt level with the back. should i be worried about breaking the bolts?

Mine are really tight as well. Mine is not level with back yet either because I have to get my new shocks on before I can go up anymore. The shop that installed the keys told me that it was level but its not. Be sure that you get a front end allignment or you will be needing new tires

Are you cranking the bolts with the weight of the truck off the tires?

Have you gotten the kit on your truck yet?? How much total lift will you be able to get out of this kit? 5 inches?

I just got a 2003 Ram 1500 and am looking to lift it off the ground a little bit. 5 inches would make me happy
