Default Another Cat ?

If anybody hasn't been following my posts recently, I had Pacesetter LT headers, Pacesetter Y-Pipe, and a Magnaflow high flow cat (my truck only has 1 cat) installed a few months back. I bought the Magnaflow 94169 cat...and have been having nothing but problems with it lately...It's recently started to rattle horribly lately and makes the truck sound like crap. I'm starting to think it may be too short in length compared to the stock one that was on there. Anybody replace their stock cat(s) with "high flow" ones? If so, which did u go with?

I put the stock cats back on myself, but plenty of guys have used the Maggy cats. Usually the only problem is some have to go to a non-fouler cause it flows too good and you get a CEL.

Are you sure the sound is coming from the inside of the cat? Could be a busted hanger, sh*tty weld busted loose or they could have over torqued a header bolt and it has now snapped. I'd be darn sure it's a failed cat first...

Well...I was gettin the good ole' P420 code for a while, but I did the non-fouler trick and it seems to have gone away. But now I'm getting slow response to my front O2 sensor... And as far as just getting rid of my cat, I thought about it a few times, but I won't pass inspection here in Jersey.

Metal,
I just bought the same cat as you have and should have it installed in about a week. I haven't recieved it yet but I'll take a good look at it before installing it.

Currently running two of these on my truck. Don't know if they will help though bc I got a code from them until I did the non-fouler trick. http://www.car-sound.com/02product/d...niversal=94069

And be careful if you decide to go catless as AF suggested. Around my way if you get caught catless your truck goes to impound. Don't know what the laws are in Jersey but might want to check if you are thinking of going that route.
