Default good power after towing and its dropin back to where i was again

I towed our boat this weekend for the first time. My truck didnt wanna pull it up hills but it was ok on the flats. Anyhow,Ive been complaining about lack of power for a while now and after I got home and unhooked,drove it around town and to work for three days,I had great pickup and now its goin back to the way it was...any ideas? Could it be an EGR related issue?

you knocked the cob webs out of her . plus one frog . i was thinking the same thing.
your pcm prob just relearned itself to be a truck again , sometimes its good to push your shizz

do you have any codes. egr are pretty common on the hemi

I dunno how you can be so sure... Dirty TB and EGR are big time power robbers on these trucks and are often NOT accompanied by a CEL.

But I do agree with you and 'Froggy and that I'd reset the PCM FIRST!!!

if he towed and then seen gains doesent sound like a EGR to me . bad or gummed EGR would be BAD in normal drive or tow .

No Codes..Had the TB cleaned not long ago,and had the pcm reset the other day....I normally pound the **** outta my truck...all I have it a MIT and a Slowmaster that was on it when I bought it.Im thinkin more tranny related or TC...but I dont know. Im gonna get an new EGR pretty soon just to see what happens...for towin im thinkin about goin back to stock intake and as soon as I can afford gettin a Magnaflow. I want the 16700 SI/DO but i know they say SI/SO is best for towing.

lots of concerns involve better performance towing due to carbon buildup and when towing the gunk disipates and soon comes back. seen it many times for the egr
i also agree with reseting the pcm first as well tho.

think I should go back to stock intake for towing and change the EGR..?
