Traction Control problem
sry if i didnt explain i just dont know how, i know with bigger tires then stock it will through off abs and traction control because of the different diametres.. its the the ring gears and sensor that tell the ecm the signal and when you change from stock tires it has to be reprogramed........
Mike when the ESP and ABS lights stay on that indicates a problem, so they should at least take a look at it.
not the pinion and ring gear.... the Ring that the the ABS/Traction sensor uses to sense wheel slipping and skidding...
Sry had Ring gears on my mind lol im looking into getting 4:56 gears haha mybad!
i know when you put bigger tires on it effects the abs..so im guessing it will affect traction control as wheel.
IF you have a programmer-tuner like superchips--change the size of your tires to 37" .... try that before you take it to the dealer

Hey, thank you for all the respones
These are some good ideas. I am going to get ahold of the dealer also, I just wanted some ideas first. I thinking of getting a superchip in the near future to change the speedo, I wonder if this would solve the problem?
I will try to post up some pics soon
I want to figure out the problem cause I really love the truck thus far except this problem. I go to the snow a lot during the winter and I dont want this to be a problem in the future, especially with any 4wd issues

... Or maybe not. Does it only happen when you get an aggressive body roll? I don't know how to calculate that to account for using a front tire as a master, but it shouldnt be much different. I know our 05 ram has a speed sensor on the left front, but not right front.
First of all, I think the previous owner had more done than just the Fabtech kit, 37s won't clear with just a Fabtech suspension lift alone on a 1500.
Secondly, you may not find the answer because I don't believe "hundreds" are running that setup. Most will heed the warnings and NOT run 37s on an IFS truck.
Could be the weight is contributing factor to your issue, 37s are HEAVY, 20" wheels are HEAVY, so the combo ain't treating the front end too well.
I'd take it to the dealer and make them make it right for sure, you just bought it, it's their responsibility to make sure it works right, with NO warning lights, when you take possession.
But I'd seriously consider dropping down to 35" tires and personally, I'd be looking at 17" wheels. 20s are pretty much useless on a 4x4 anyway, unless you are just into the "look" and don't go off road.
Your CV shafts, tie rods, ball joints, etc. will thank you. Front end repairs and maintenance will probably cost you more over the long haul than the price of tires, especially if you can sell yours to a guy with a SFA truck...

Just talked to the dodge dealer today and they seem to think it is a problem witht he bigger wheels and tires messing up the computer. So I guess a superchip is in my purchase history... it seems like that is what most people on here recommend
and yes alot of ppl do recommend this
