I'd hope it's the identical method you used, isn't it your DIY . . .

aaahahahahahaaaaaa. That's too funny. Maybe he wasn't paying attention as he made it a year ago??, or he coulda just joshed you guys?

I just cleaned out my garage and I found a whole sheet of mesh that I had used for fixing a foundation. I think i just might try to see if I can't do something like that. I have the Chrome grill though...

I can't imagine it being any different, just a bit more difficult to chop or 'dremel' the horizontal bars out. After just checking, at least for mine, behind each of the 4 horizontal sections there are 3 vertical support (narrow) pieces that can, if you can manage not to detach them, be used as Jay' used his Honeycomb sections for back support.

i think what he meant is that the same method he used in his DIY will work for the OPs 08! lol seeing as how jay drives an 04 the OP thought there may be some issues with the differences in design.

Like Jay said, just make sure you paint 'em, even though they are aluminum, they are prone to oxidize and discolor pretty quick in the elements. The ones I actually used ON MY GUTTERS, began discoloring within a couple months.

I did the front of my hood scoop and painted it with a chrome paint, then a good coat of polyurethane. So far, so good...
