Modification questions for all
Much as I hate to say it, I think the whole bed in diamond plate is gonna be too much. I like the BedRug product myself. Went to it on this truck after losing hundreds of bucks in fishing equipment due to heavy stuff like batteries sliding into them with a bedliner.
Stuff just doesn't slide around on it and it's just as durable, plus it's REAL easy on the knees.
As far as using diamond plate and stainless for trim, do I really need to voice my opinion on that???

i know this is a 3rd gen ram post but everything sounded good until you mentioned the chrome trim on the fenders. in my opinion that's the ugliest accessory anyone can install oh a vehicle. i love chrome but i draw the line there! imho.....

Now I was testing a theory that was suggested in another thread and I only got one bite. I do like diamond plate bed rails and tool boxes, but I like everything else the way it is.
I normally don't care for lowered trucks much either, but some people do it right. Dakotas ram, RM Indy and RedTruck-VA are a few that I can think of that have done it right and they look good. There is also that other guy (3rd gen) that was in the truck of the month deal a little while back with the satin black paint job but I can't remember his name.
Y'all are a tough crowd! Be thankful you guys don't post up in 3rd Gen Ram where there is a pretty big "lowered" following. Make one comment that you ain't crazy about a lowered one, or one that is completely blacked out or that you like a piece of diamond plate or stainless trim and they get down right defensive. LMAO...
Yep, I was shocked so many guys in the second gen section came right out about how much they detested that lowered truck in the thread over there, woulda got 'em drawn and quartered over here. LOL...
But if you're gonna quote my post, quote my WHOLE post:

Personally, I'd never lower a truck, to me it's sacrilege, and have seen only a couple I like the looks of, but my philosophy has always been: "It's your truck, your money, do whatever the hell you want to it and don't listen to anybody else"...

They were pretty rough on it weren't they?
The main thing I didn't like about that truck was the hydraulics (or bags, I'm not sure what he had on it). The guy hit them in the video. I hate seeing a vehicle bounce uncontrollably when they hit a pebble because they have hydraulics or bags on them, it just doesn't look right.

Sheriff you have a nice looking truck I say keep the black accents that you have now. Chrome would be nice but your wheels are silver and I'm not huge on shiny chrome accents w/ silver rims. To each his own though...
