Default SO can u guys maybe forgive me? and Q

Sup dudes, i want to apologize for being a little hot headed about a month ago, i do have a anger problem and it sucks and i again apologize..... And if u can forgive me i have a problem, right at about 2,000 rpms my truck whistles, i never heard a sound like it out of all my vehicles... First i thought maybe it was my homebrew CAI, threw the stock back on and still whistled... So i narrowed it down to maybe being the tension pulleys but i had pulleys go out before on my ol jeep and it was more like a squeaking noise and not a whistling noise... The noise is real loud when the vehicle first starts up and as it warms up its not as loud, but u can still hear it..... I got a video of it but its useless u cant hear anything on my phone cam with my exhuast. any help would be great, i am leaving for the beach in 3 days and wanna get this fixed lol

how does your belt look?
could always take your belt off and see if each of your pulleys spins easily

go to walmart or walgreens and buy a stethoscope pop off the round part you would put on your heart next shove a hollow pc of metal pen or something in the hose. then put it in your ears(the right part that is) and start touching things with the metal pc you put in the whole....you should be able to pin point where its coming from when done put it in your tool box cause youll never know when something squeeks again....as far as being forgiving....we are a forgiving bunch just please dont drink and drive...

Squirt WD-40 on each pulley until you find the bad one.

I got anger problems too, its called 1 teenage and one Adult "Girls", and having been charged 3 times (last one 20 years ago) by the man for Blowing over, I can certainly relate and thankfully only one hurt was me and I was very luckey too that it did not affect my Military carreer....Forgiven.

As for the squeeling noise I agree with all the suggestions from the dudes above, including Dr. Jay, it's gotta be a pulley, tensioner, pump or the belt itself. You Guys enjoy your Patriotic Weekend!

It could be a pully but it sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Are you getting any codes?
