Check Engine Light Fix
Well...I have had my 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 4x4 SLT for about 2 months now and the check engine light came on yesterday. So I was like WTF? So I got home and figured I would check my Air Filter. It was kind of dirty so I will be buying a new one ASAP (Note: I live where there are a lot of dirt roads, so I check my filter once a month.) I turned it off and on and it still was lighting up so I decided to let it sit overnight and see what Happened he next morning. I checked it this morning and it was still lit up. So I took my positive off of the battery and let it sit for about 5 min. I reconnected it and started it again and it was off. (note: I also checked my gas cap prior to diconnecting the battery and it was still lighting up as well). It hasn't cae back on since....Just thought I would throw that ou there for you guys!

Alright....well heres an update...not soon after I disconnected the battery and re connected it the light did go off...BUT I took a ride down to the gas station to grab a drink before headin to the lake and the light came on again. I have not messed with the battery since then. I don't have any idea what this could be because all of my gauges are good. My coolant is right, battery is right on, tranny is still strong...no loss of power...shifting like a champ so slips...no leaks...brand new oil...the only thing I can think of is maybe it has something to do with a fuel sensor or something. Maybe a bad gas cap? Does anyone know the going rate to get a diagnostic check?
