Default Project Done! 12V Cummins in an 03 1500 functioning like OEM

Many of you have seen my threads on my Father-in-laws pickup that we have yanked a 360 V8 out of and installed a 12V Cummins in it. This has been a true family project with very little outside help. We have read the manuals for wiring specs until our eyes crossed and finally one step at a time we figured out how to make it work like factory. Here are some beginning pictures for those that have not seen it.

I am sorry that my video skills are about a 1.5 out of 10, but here is a shot of the dash, followed by a running shot of the engine. I have a very slow drive away clip, I don't think my Father in law wanted to show off for the camera.

I know I have not made the story real interesting, but the work that we have put forth into his truck has been well worth it. A small list of extras that have been installed include an Airdog 150 fuel pump, a 4" Diamondeye exhaust, a custom intake tube with an AFE air filter and a custom cut fuel plate. Custom items built by Ben (Brother-in-law) include engine and transmission mounts, crossmember on the frame under/behind the oil pan and the intercooler tubes. There are a few parts gathered from the local scrapyard (electric fan, coolant/washer jug and A/C lines that could be modded) to save a few dollars. Everything on this truck is fully functional down to the A/C and cruise control. After it is said and done I am proud to say I was a part of this project and glad I can show it off for him.

I don't think it would go far being a 2WD.

lol, you would be amazed what you would get through at 60mph, just remember you might not reach the other side with every part remaining
