Brand new Ram owner, Shock issue, please help
Hello everyone!
I just bought my'08 Hemi Ram Crewcab 4x4 Laramie 27K miles and noticed a small leak on the driveway. Its the problematic front shocks, the passenger side is leaking. I have spent the last 3 hours or so reading previous post on the subject, but none offer step by step removal and installation of the shocks. If anyone has the expertise, please chime in, so I can get this problem resolved. I am planing a trip this weekend and don't want any road problems while I am with my family. Thank you all in advance for your help!

take your wheel off
take the caliper and rotor off
take out the 3 bolts at the top that mount the coil over shock.
disconnect wheel speed sensor
disconnect the lower control arm part of the sway bar end link
disconnect the upper ball joint nut
seperate spindle from the upper control arm
disconnect lower shock mount through lower control arm.
reverse for assembly

ooh, been a while since I've done a coil over shock, but here goes:
Remove the lower bolt and nut, take off the three upper shock retaining bolts on the top, pull the spring and shock, compress the shock with a shock compressor or a large C-clamp, should be a center nut up top that needs to be removed then remove the shock. Reverse the steps to install the new shock...
Somebody with an '06+ coil over will surely jump in if I missed a step...
Ahh, thanks Brett, I knew I'd leave a step or two out...

nope, they are oil filled. the stock ones are piece of crap even with 0 miles on them! so, as soon as you drive it off lot, they are already no good. replace them even if yours are not leaking ( they eventually will).

I am sure you could, but they gonna put the same crappy ones that you already have... no sense of doing that. I see you have 35" on yours, how much RPM are you turning at 70mph. What is the difference in your gas mileage? Or you already have 4.10 gears?
