Stock. You're looking at 15.2-15.3 ET. At least that's what I saw at Rockingham.

It's a light duty half ton. You want a HD then step up to the big boys. Standard towing on Ram 1500's ranges from 3400 on up to 7500 (srt-10 of all things), max towing going into the low 9000's.

Oh and if the Tundra is such a real truck, then why cant there double cab even tow 7k lbs?

Guy's, it's just not right to compare the two. The Titan is a sports car with a bed(not even a full size w/crew cab). We have real trucks. That said, I do have a brother in law from NY with an 04 Titan. Of course, we have lots of friendly bantor going.

Clearly he is trying to compensate for something, as he is already trying to Mod. his truck to get more hp. HMM.... Had him down to VA. for a week to visit and he installed a cool air intake and trottle body spacer, funny though, his truck didn't start after he did the work! I guess he got a sensor installed upside down. Kind of funny. He put a new grill on(really trying to make his truck look tough) and so he had the Nissan emblem left over: He put it on my grill gaurd, which he thought would be funny. Later he asked to drive MY truck, when his wasn't running, and realized the emblem was on the back window. I explained that was the only place I'd see a Nissan emblem(through my rearview).

Any good one liners for my Bro-in-law, please share. He doesn't quite get the whole Hemi-rules-thing.

BTW... I've tried to include photos on my posts and it keeps saying file too large? How to I get a photo to post?

Hmmmm, lets see here. My 05 hemi quad cab, 4x4 with off road and 3.92 gears has a tow capacity of 8800lbs and the Tundra double cab 4x4 has 6800lbs max towing. Hmmm, I know I didnt major in math, just mechanical engineering, but I do believe that is a 2000lb difference. Wow, it looks like my math is right. That puts the Tundra well withing the Rams towing capacity[sm=jawdrop.gif]. Oh, wait a miniute, I forgot that even if the Tundra was rated to pull as much, it doesnt even come close on horsepower or toque to get it moving. You know, if people want to come on a real mans truck forum site and want to brag about their overrated, overpriced and wussy foreign little trucks, why dont they just go to a Toyota Camry website and dicuss when the next craft fair will be. Do Tundra and Titan owners feel so insecure about their purchase that they have to come over and start trying to bash a real mans truck. I dont know about you other hemi owners think about the wannabes but, my truck can hussle because it has American mussle and that will never change.[sm=americanasmiley.gif]

speaking of american muscle, did you know a higher percentage of Titans and Tundras are made in the USA than Rams?

I'm beginning to think it's the Ram guys who are insecure, having to constantly slam the competition. Let the facts speak for themselves. Yeah, Big 3 trucks are rated to tow heavier loads. Yeah, they've got more power. So what? Toyota will need a larger engine if it wants to stay in the game, but compare their 4.7 with Dodge's.

Toyota
282 hp and 325 ft-lbs, 16-18mpg, standard towing on a 4x4 is 7100 lbs

Dodge
235hp and 300 ft-lbs, 13-17mpg, standard towing on a 4x4 ST is 3950

Which one looks better now?
