Default Driver door electrical prob?

Hi again, having a weird problem with my drivers door on 02 QC. When I open the door the usual doesn't happen, odometer doesn't come on, dome light don't come on, headlight chime doesn't work if lights are left on. The odometer and dome light come on when the other 3 doors are opened. I replaced the door latch when I first bought the truck because the door lock in the drivers door didn't work and I figured that would fix other probs too but it didn't. So now the door lock works but thats it. I've checked fuses but I figured if it was a fuse the dome light wouldn't work at all either would odometer. It does have an alarm with remote start ,not sure if that could be messin it up. Thanks for any ideas or help.

You may have a broken wire between the A-pillar and the drivers door. There is a rubber wire insolator that wires go thru. you may find your broken wire inside.

good luck gettin that thing off. its a total PITA.

open the door, pull the rubber boot off on the cab side . once the boots out of the way its easier to find the clips that hold it in. use a small screwdriver or small fingers to push the clips together and slide them apart.

Or you may have a bad latch assembly. The locking acutator and door ajar switch are all in that assembly. So if the door ajar switch is bad, the truck doesnt detect the door open and doesnt turn everything on.

Or could be a broke wire as said above. Just gotta tear it apart and look.

Ok thanks, I guess I'll be trying to get the boot off to check for broken wires when I get back from vacation. If none are broken I wonder what the warranty is on dodge parts if its bad because I only put the latch on a couple months ago.
