i am recieving the same code. My truck will start out in low but won't shift in to the next gear for quite while and sometimes not at all.

 

I found these at AutoZone, these PNs are for my '03 5.7 but I would think they are similar for your '05. They should be available at auto parts places near you, as well.

Part Number: SU3358 for Transmission model 47RE
Part Number: SU3319 for Transmission model 46RE
Part Number: SU3194 forTransmission model 45R

So, you should be able to get the part without going to the stealership, but YMMV...

05's had a 545RFE transmission, not the old 46 RE

 

@ Blacktop, how many miles are on this trans?

 

Hey guys same symptoms as blacktop Only its on 2nd gear for less than a quarter mile then road speed calls for 3rd gear and the tranny goes neutral. Only way to engage to 2nd gear again is to shut engine and recycle ignition. also Reverse gear is non existent. It all started by wife feeling as if someone had rear-ended her *wasn`t me* then a sudden drop of gear and into high rpms to a neutral.

Old thread. Update: it was an electric solenoid in the tranny that went bad. Don't believe they are too hard to replace. my truck still had a warranty at the time and the repair was covered by the dealership.
