Smokestacks?
Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum.
I just bought a 2003 2500slt, and am looking to buy smokestacks. Preferrably 5-7" diameter w/ two pipes.
Anyone put stacks on their truck? or have any recommendations on where to shop for them?
As for fitting, is there anything I should look out for to avoid compatibility issues?
I'm willing to shell out some coin for a good sounding, good looking stack as well.
Thanks in advance!

(edit) It's the 5.7 hemi, not a diesel

if you want my opinion on the matter........ dont do stacks. i feel they are stupid, and even more stupid on a gasser. i dont even like them on diesels when they are pumping out black smoke. i think you would be taking away from the truck by adding them. im sure a few others on here will agree with me.
again, that is just my opinion, try not to take offense to it.

I dunno, I kinda really liked the Lil' Red Truck with them. Love 'em on the old step side trucks. My old man had a Furd F-250 step side when I was a kid and he welded up his own stacks. Loved that truck!
Personally, I wouldn't do stacks myself, but because to me, the lines on a modern truck and stacks just don't go together, even a diesel doesn't look "right" to me with stacks coming up through the bed.
But, it's your truck, your money. If you want stacks then go for it...

No its cool I appreciate both positive and negative feedback. I did a bit more research and it seems to me like opposed side-exiting pipes with a magnaflow or glasspacks sound great on a v8 hemi. So im probably gonna scrub the stack idea... doesnt seem to be right on the v8.

crap - Hammer's right too.
I liked the LRT a lot (I'm 42, so I can still remember it pretty good, plus my Uncle owned a Chrysler-Dodge dealership). Stepsides can look good with stacks.
BTW - this was my Uncle's car from back in the days when he had the dealership, it's for sale again (aparently it has appreciated a bit...) - sorry, no pics from this ad.

When I was a kid, his boys and I used to stand on the trunk and pretend the wing was a store candy counter.

I looked for some pics straight from the ad.
It's been for sale for while - so I suspect they have let the ad lapse.
Or, someone came up with the cash and bought it.
I also rode in it a few times waaaayyyy back when I was too young to apreciated it's significance. It was also the car that took his wife and VERY VERY soon-to-be-born Son to the hospital in a wicked snowstorm in January at speeds that would be frowned upon even in good weather.
