Had a trailer light problem with a Cheby Z71 where there were no running lights at all on the trailer. Checked wiring harness, all fuses the manual had for anything to do with trailer connector. Very common for a fuse to blow when you submerge a boat trailer. Re-wired the whole damn trailer the day before having to drive 110 miles to a bass tourney with NO success.
Ended up taking my ex's Grand Cherokee to trailer the boat to/from the tourney.

Couple days later I started just pulling fuses and checking them and one marked "spare" was blown. Replaced it and VIOLA! had trailer lights...
Figures... Thanks Chrysler.

Replaced the speed sensor with no success. I guess we will double back and double check everything.

under the hood behind the battery there is a silver box with 2 wire plugs. detach the harnesses and check for moisture or corrosion.... if you can blow them out with a air hose.

Ended up being the computer. Had it replaced and all issues are gone. Im not really sure if it was a component failure within the computer or what. Its kinda hard to think it was a software issue with the age of the truck.
