ram rims

In my opinion, an 8" wide wheel is wide enough for a 12.5" wide tire. I have seen WAAAAAYYYYYY too many wheel and tire combos with this setup having absolutely no issues.
And the small rub at the control arm will most likely be fairly minor, and only at nearly full turn. I had this issue on my 2nd gen using the stock 17x8 off road wheels, and all I did was remember to quite turning the wheel a quarter turn before full lock.

AF is right. But even though it is not recommended I did have 33x12.50xr15 on my stock Dakota rims when i had a Dakota, which were only 8 inches wide(as are the Ram rims). i never had a problem though, so i gues it is up to you.
My crager soft 8 rims start at 70$ per rim and come in black silver white and chrome from summit racing. I bought a 17x9 inch rim with a 5.00" backspacing, no issues at all.

you will be fine..I ran 315x70x17's for 3 years without any issues on stk.wheels(they would rub the control arms at full lock,only)..no big deal.
then I ran 37x12.5x17's on my truck with the stk(17x8) wheels with no problems, every winter for the last 3 years.
315's on stk. wheels
37's on stk wheels

thanks,
All I know is I did not need to level the front end.you might have to(or most people recommend it),every truck is a little different.I have the off-road package, which might mean my truck was a little higher than the stk. 2500.
you could also go with a 305 vs 315 tire and have no problems.Every brand of tire is a little different in size(meaning most are not true 35")The only ones that are true 35's are the Toyo's(from my experience)
I buy all my tires from Discount Tire,so if they don't fit,I don't have to buy them.
Good Luck
