The area I'm in which is desert, In most make and models 4 to 5 years is what we see in life from the O.E. battery. Not bad when you think about it but it's in 100+ degree weather and then below 20 in the winter.

Good luck man. I have an 06 as well and have actually been considering replacing it at my 30k mile service. Since I've already done my diff and trans. The money has got to go somewhere right? haha.

Prolly just the battery. I've had them go in as little as three years in new trucks I've bought. Had a Dodge Raider I bought new in '89 that needed a new battery in the winter of '92 whilst living in upstate NY.
Now my '02 Jeep and '04 truck are BOTH still going fine on the original batteries, but I carry jump boxes in both vehicles just in case...

what does it do when you try to start it....click or even try to turn over? What about other lights in the rig....are they bright? You could have a bad starter or something of that nature.
