ok according to this website the 35s will fit on a rim 8.5 inches wide to 11. The stock are 9 inches correct?

Fitting on the rim won't be the problem....it's whether or not they will rub? I believe you will need a wheel spacer to push the tire away from the suspension.

35 is not what you go by, the width of 12.5 is what you go by for fitment.
No, stock 20's are 8.5"(old ones), and 9" for newer style one's)
17's are either 8 or 8.5"???

12.5 width is a bit wide for stock rims IMO, but lots of guys have had no problems.

Im putting a 6 inch on my truck as well as 1.5 inch wheel spacers. They will clear easy, but i talked to some tire people and they said they are too wide and will squeeze out and i will be riding on the sidewalls and they will wear bad and look bad

The rims are 8 inches wide. recommend 8.5 for 12.5. Its just so tempting because i can get 4 mud terrain km2s for 700$ with only 500 miles on them.

Since your saving so much on the tires why not throw in some rims too? I'm sure you can find some used or even new 17"s with the correct back spacing and width for a good price too.

Just get new wheels and you will also save on not needing spacers!

Personally, I wouldn't do 12.5" wide tires on any wheel less than 9" wide. If you are on a budget, look at a set of black Crager Soft 8's in 17x9. They are steel so are a little heavier than an aluminum wheel, but no more so than stock wheels.
About $70 a piece anywhere online and the backspacing is perfect for that width tire on your truck. Hell, they ain't much more than a set of spacers at that price...
