Default Steering Box Stabilizer for 1500 Mega cab?

Hello forum,

I need some help as I can't seem to find any info on if this SBS will fit on my 2006 1500 Mega Cab? It says it's only for the 2500/3500 models but if my 1500 is basically on the 2500 chassis would it fit? I had the DW bad but the dealer replaced all the steering components and it is gone for now but it is still so efin rough and feels like it's going to do it again? I am wanting to put a 3" MAXX levveling kit in it but don't want to unless I know forsure this DW won't come back. Any one know where I can find if this SBS will fit my truck or not?

Thanks

Megacab is a 2500, just without the same tow/payload ratings.

Stabilizers are all over the web. You'll have to do a search and find the one that best suits your price range, but I believe they are all a couple hunge anywhere you go. It'll def help reduce if not stop the DW as that originates within the steering box itself and gets transferred into the frame.

I don't see an issue, but call the manufacturer prior to purchase just to be sure. Everybody I've heard of who's installed one has reported that it's helped a lot, if not gotten rid of the DW completely...

So this fixes the 'loose' steering, or wander that my 3500 exhibits? I find it so less 'responsive' than my 1500.

So I purchased the SBS from a manufacturer in Vancouver BC. It showed up the next day and I put it in and it erally does work. My wife said she noticed the vibration over bumps is gone and I really notice it on off road going over wash board. I'm very glad i purchased this product and would reccomend it to anyone. Took me about 30 mins by myself to put it in aswell.

Yeah, I think the manufacturer of the product did a really good job in figuring out a fix for an obvious design flaw in the 2500/3500 Rams...

Where is the best place to get an SBS?

Google so far has told me that I'm going to pay roughly 190-220 depending on source. Are their less expensive sources out there?

Are there preferred vendors (e.g. forum members here that offer great service, always available for questions, and possibly even offer discounts or group buys?

Thanks.

Thanks. Found a few on ebay. Price has gone up, at least for 03-08 variants.
