Default Brake Disc

Does anybody have any ideas on how to remove the brake disc without using an air tool ? Also, what is the size of the 2 bolts that hold the brake disc in place?

Ive never used air tools on my brakes although Im sure you can. Just use your standard ratchet and sockets. You may need a cheater bar or a hammer to hit the ratchet or wrench to break them loose depending on the last time they were done and who did them.

I think it is 13mm on the fronts and 10mm on the rears and 21mm if you want to remove the entire calipers. If you are asking this then i assume you do not have a complete 1/2" socket set. You really need to have some tools.... ;-)

Make sure you have something to compress the caliper pistons back in place with (several ways to do this) and grease the slider pins when putting it all back together. Ceramic pads are best and be sure to have the rotors turned or replaced while you have it all apart if you have ANY shaking in the steering wheel when driving and applying the brakes.

Check if disc is being held on by lock washers. When I remove the lock washers my discs come off easily by hand. I know some have needed to hit them with a hammer though. Are you changing discs? If not, you probably don't need to take them off.

my discs more or less fell off when i took the caliper off, original discs may have clips on the wheel studs that can be removed and tossed make sure you put anti-seizes on the disc where it touches the wheel, it will prevent the wheel from sticking to the disc, and grease the anti rattle clips. if you search the forums there are a couple threads with instructions
