Default How to make my true dual magnaflow louder?

Hey guys,
I love my true dual magaflows. I have two pipes that came straight out the back. What could I do to make it alittle louder with out changeing whats already been done. Would different cats or headers be the only things I could do? If so LT or ST headers and if I get the magnaflow cats would that make it louder?

Thanks

If you have the magnaflow that goes from one to dual out the back with stock cats, then yes new high flow cats will make it louder. If you have true dual out the back with no cats and still want it louder look into electric cutouts.

Can I cut out the cats altogether? Will that make the computer go nuts and start throwing codes?

Also would it be louder with better cats or no cats at all?

I am not sure what electric cut outs are :/

it will be louder with no cats at all.....but ....yes it will throw codes. You can do one of two things. You can get foulers to trick the pcm or you can get a custom tune for DSP tuner and have them shut off the O2's. Also if you have state inspections i would just run high flow cats.

Thanks for the replys! How much better MPG did you get with out the cats?

I am thinking that I might just get rid of them altogether. Is there really any performance gain at all other than it being louder?

Modern Hemi cats are fairly high flowing, I doubt you'd see any significant MPG, performance or sound gains. Yeah, maybe a tenth of a MPG, a HP gain that a Dyno could read and maybe 1 db or 2 in sound, but nothing that you could really tell.

Long tube headers made my exhaust tone a little deeper, but not really louder.

Cut-outs or ditch the Maggy for a Cherry Bomb Extreme...

Yeah, I would get rid of the muffler/s before you get rid of the cat. Is it a single in, dual out, or two separate pipes with 2 separate mufflers?

Thanks for the replys. It sounds like I better just keep my cats from what you guys are saying.

I have two separate magnaflows on two separate pipes Brock.

I love the sound of my magnaflows. Just wish it was alittle louder sometimes.
