i found the id tag:
TITTJ1125 10117 091
P52119091AE RFE


Im assuming it's the 45rfe, am I correct

2005 QC ram 1500 auto 4.7L

No, you have the 545rfe 5speed not the 45rfe which is a 4speed. Rams 2003+ all have the 545rfe tranny

Looky , yeah wiki is correct.

45RFE, 545RFE, same tranny, different tuning.

but yeah, you do have the 545. my bad.

Only difference is software. You can turn a 45 into a 545 with a TCM change (on certain vehicles).

correct the 45RFE is capable of being a 5 speed with the TCM flash.

you have the 545RFE though.

Whaaaaaaaat? You telling me that if you have the 45, you have a 5 speed automatic that isn't using a gear?! Otherwise, how can a FLASH change from a 4 to a 5 speed? Someone PLEASE elaborate on this one...

I did find this thread, wanted to throw it out. I still don't understand how a TCM flash can add a gear, but I'm researching.

its because this tranny is mostly electronic. a signal tells a solenoid where to send fluid and at what pressure, and depending on where/how it goes, it will engage a certain # of clutches giving you any given gear. there really arent mechanical "gears" inside the tranny. just a valve body, solenoid, and a bunch of clutch packs.
