If it is making noise while turning and the noise varies with weight on said wheel, that sounds like a wheel bearing to me. I have had several wheel bearings that have exhibited similar symptoms.

while you have it on jack stands to check ball joints, check the wheel bearings too. To do this, rotate the wheel by hand and listen/feel for any rough spots. Also check for any lateral movement (there should be none to very little) of the wheel.
