Default 4.7L questions!!

I have a 2003 4.7L Quad cab. Is there an EGR valve on these motors. I can't find it in the service manual or searching on here.

Also is the TV kickdown cable on the throttle body adjustable and if so how do you adjust it?? I can't see an adjustment and mine is really loose. Again couldn't find anything on search for this topic. Thanks

I don't think I have an EGR valve on mine after looking at it. Correct me if I am wrong but it appears to only have some breather connections on the heads and some inline one way tubes of some sort which just have a small sampling hole in them which connect directly to the intake hat. I can't find an EGR.

Also, the other cable going to my throttle body is for the speed control. It doesn't appear to be adjustable so do I just replace it or what??

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get my surging at stop lights figured out and I am down to plugs and TPS sensor.

Thanks

from what i understand they dont have EGR. there is an updated cylinder head that has a port for one but all you can buy is a block off plate for it.

as for speed control do you mean cruise?

My guess would be a tps or idle air control sensor or maybe a vaccum leak.

Thanks for all the replies. Found out that Yes I do NOT have an EGR valve just breathers on the back of the head directly to the intake.

Also I have cleaned the PCV valve which was all gunked up, replaced plugs with iridiums, cleaned Idle Air Control valve and TB. Took it for a test drive and better pick up and seems to idle smooth now.

Will have to wait and see when it really warms up on the way to work if it acts up!

Oh forgot, I was mistaking the cruise control cable as a tranny kickdown cable. I am guessing the slack in that cable is normal until the system engages. It is a little hard to test in the driveway. Cruise works just fine though. There doesn't seem to be an adjustment on this cable which runs to a unit under the battery tray.
