Default K&N Oil Filters

Anybody use these? Any difference from a Purolator (besides the nut)? Just wondering...seems like the same concept as their air filters, but is this as good for oil?

Almost every review I've read on oil filters list the Wix (NAPA Gold), Mobil 1, Purolator Pure 1 and the K&N as the better oil filters with none significantly better than another among them. Also, they all consistently rate Fram dead last...

Yep I mostly use the Wix, but my closest NAPA is 12 miles away so I've been known to be lazy and have used the Mobil 1 and Purolator at times. Ain't tried a K&N yet...

I'm pretty sure the k&n and mobil 1 are both made by champion labs, k&n being more racing inspired w/ more flow and mobil w/ better filtration. I use pureone's b/c they are cheaper.

Use the K&Ns on all our rides. Found a deal on Amazon, so I stocked up (a bit over $9 each). They are a bit more expensive, but none of us drives more than about 10K/yr, so the recurring cost is not too bad.

The 1" nut and the Fumoto drain valve combine to make oil changes no muss, no fuss.
