Plasti dip Overspray On my Tips and Paint. Help
lol.... i let my dad borrow my truck to move some stuff before he got his CTD.... well he hooked straps to my tonneau cover to keep it from moving and he didnt tighten it down enough and it came loose while he was driving and the hook with the rub coating landed on my tips and melted..... i let it heat up and used bug and tar remover and it took it right off, i few spots i have to take a knife and shave it off....
but i use to use plasti dip and realized its def. not good for off roading due to sticks brush and all that good stuff..... so i used a pressure washer and it ripped that plasti dip right off the front and rear bumpers like nothing, just for future reference if someone wants to take it off...
hmm, I used it on the rock rails and front grille of my Jeep and have washed the Jeep at least twice with a pressure washer. Stayed on fine.
Maybe it was the adhesion promoter or the fact I used it on plastic cladding? dunno...

yea i didnt do any prep work when i did the plasti dip, but i had to cut a slit in the plasti dip for the water to get under it.... i used VHT satin black paint and redid my whole front end and rear and looks great and easy to clean... i will get some pics when my bull bar i ordered gets here and i install it
