Default Keyless Entry remote

I just bought a 06 ram 3500 mega cab. I need to find a place to buy the remote for keyless entry. I have looked on ebay with no luck I really dont want to hit a dealer for $150. So if anyone has a place that they know of please let me know. I also dont have any other form of keyless entry now. All I have is a key. Is that gonna matter.
Thanks As always
Aaron

Ae you wanting the stock key/remote? Dirtydog would be the guy to ask, but I THINK even if you find the key blank (which isn't too bad) the dealer wants like $75 to program it

But then again, you might have one of those few and far between "good" dealers that treats their customers right that would program it for free

My truck has an aftermarket starter/keyless entry system and I love it. For your application, you could kill two birds with one stone and probably end up saving money in the grand scheme of things....

I was just hoping to find something cheap. I saw on ebay there was some for dodges for like $13. Thats why I was wanting them. I have just a normal key now. I used to have an 06 1500 that had the everything built into one but I guess this is different. If I would find one could I program it myself or would I have to take it to the dealer. As far as the remote start goes I wasnt wanting to spend that much. Like I said earlier. Not that I wouldnt want it I just cant fork out that money right now. What would wiredog know? What should I ask him? About the remote or the programming part.
Thanks
Aaron

i still think you best and cheapest option is after market because the ebay keys can be hit or miss and they still have to be programed by the dealer

Do you have the built-in security system with the chipped keys? If so, the dealer has to program it unless you have 2 working key fobs already. If you have 2 functional fobs, then they can program the 3rd.

Yea obviously he doesn't have the two fobs so like we said, your only option is to have the dealer program a blank or go aftermarket

What color is your key? If it's a security key, you have to have two working keys to add one. If it's just keyless entry you can get a fob off eBay and program it, but you still need one working fob. That's what I did. Fortunately, I don't have the security system, just keyless entry. The truck came with one fob and I added three.
