Default Truck had a stroke!

Ok so heres what happened:
I had just turned onto a highway speed limit 55 so I was WOT from a stop light to get up to speed, as it took a hard shift from 1st to 2nd (tq managment 8%) both headlights dimmed, almost all the way off, and once it kicked into 2nd lights went back to normal...then maybe 10 seconds later the right headlight went out. WTF!? Just my damn luck.......go to take a right turn, my right turning signal doesnt work! So I pull over and turn on only parking lights and both are lit up but the right one only glows, nothing compared to the normal side....

Anyone know what the f*** is goin on with my truck?!

Also I have HIDs if that matters, and no blown fuses.

check you headlight wiring
dimming usually means
1. low voltage
2. bad ground

check you battery as well if its the original it could be bad

I've heard of the fuse boxes being bad in these truck and it usually affects the lights first
good luck

My shift schedule is on Superchips still...also they are hidextra, have had them in for over a year and this is the 1st problem ive ever had with them.....but the HIDs doesnt explain the turn signal/parking lamp?

haha alright jay ill keep it in mind...

NEW QUESTION. How do you get to the passenger side parking bulb? I cant figure out how to pull that thing out. I cant even get to it. I pulled the wheel well but still cant see it

OK here is some important info for anyone who has a CAI. There is a very important ground that you need to be careful of. If you have a heat shield around your cai, like mine, then the heat shield uses this bolt to secure itself. Here is a pic of the ground bolt im talking about....(this is not my pic, just found it on the web)

This ground controls the passenger side lights. So if you ever go over a big bump or something and suddenly you say "s*** my headlight AND turn signal are both out". first check this ground! I spent 4 hours pulling the wheel wells and taking all my bulbs out just to realize that the ground was barely loose. The ground was barely making contact so my turn signals would only glow and headlight wouldnt work.
Hopefully this will come in handy if anyone ever gets in this situation

The lights dimmed because your belt was slipping at the 1-2 shift.
