Default A/C Blower Motor... WHAT THE???

Ok so check this out. When i have the A/C on in the truck and i shut the ignition off everything shuts off and all i have it milage showing on the ODO. As im getting out of the truck key in hand and about to shut the door i hear a noise. The A/C blower was back on. If i shut it off then back on it stays off. It seems like about 10/15 seconds after i shut the ignition off and pull the key the blower comes back on. Anyone ever herd of this?

I have noticed that after the truck gets shut off it i go outside about 45 min later the grill is so hot it burns your hands. Today way the first time with the A/C controls doing that. O well it was 112 today i can complain about the truck freaking out!

The AC blower fan gets power from the ignition switch. So if it is powering on at any time with the key off and out, my vote would be a bad switch.

I had the very same problem. You need a new igition switch. Mine had burned a contact allowing the blower to stay on. You can just turn the fan **** to off for now so it dont kill your battery.

Did this mean the entire ignition was still on?? Or just the accessories? Because the stereo and all that stayed off. Just the fan motor came on.

The switch feeds several different circuits so it is possible for one set of contacts to be bad so one accessory may work and not all of them.

No just the power for the blower was still on. That blower motor has a lot of power going through it so its going to short that switch out before anything else. You can turn the motor off on the fan speed switch and everything will be fine, but you need a new switch.
