I had no idea how easy it was to remove the tail gate. I added a 1inch wide Stainless Steel T bolt clamp that I had left over from another project. Used alittle loctite red and added another nut with a washer between the nuts so you have to remove two nuts one at a time and the T bolt has a 1 inch stub out. It wont stop them , but it will make them work long enought for me to load the rifle.
This is my first real truck and suddenly I have this need for a gun rack?

i have the gate keeper that weed mentioned and also an electric tail gate lock. like you stated they will get it if they want it, but it will take them a while.
