Lift questions.
Ok, so i've been debating back and forth to lift or drop my truck. And I have a few questions about lifts.
I was looking at lifts for my truck and was wondering if I did a 2.5" level and a 3" suspention if I could fit 35's.
Also what is the backspacing on the stock 20's? and if anyone knows what the widest tire I an fit on the stockers is? (love the wide tire look on our rams)
And I was looking at an RC lift. Are these dependable? Or does anyone recommend different lifts. (this is on a 2wd that will go in mud at times but is mainly street used) Also with the 2.5" level so I still need bigger shocks or are the ones with the lift good. Plus if anyone has the nitro shocks on there lift, is there a big difference to make it worth buying or should I just stick with the ones in the kit.
So that being said say if possible I put a 2" level + the 3" lift. I would have to add a 2" block to the back? for a total of 5" of lift. Correct?

You are on the right track but let me help you out a bit. Dont get confused about a 2.5 level and then a 3" susp lift because basically all that is, is a 6" susp lift.
There is nothing wrong with a Rough Country 6" lift. They are solid lifts and well priced for the 2wd at $900
I have one on my truck. In fact, I had an older one and recently upgraded to their newer one that has the cross member drops. I do have the nitro shocks. Whether they are much better or not IDK.

If you wanted to buy everything separate, you could get a set of 3" spindles for $300 (for leveling), then a set of 3" coils for another $180 (to lift) and them 3" shackles or rear blocks for about $50.
That would basically be your 6" lift. But add new shocks to that total for another 100-200 plus alignment

Yep, 2wd. The question is why not lift it? I like sitting up high and have never liked scrubbing my azz on the ground trying to dodge pot holes, railroad tracks or speed bumps.
I'm with weed I like being higher and I like the look of lifted. I really don't see it being too wrong to lift a 2wd. Similar question would be why would be to "gasturbine" why on earth would you get a regular cab?
Nothing wrong with lifting a 2wd...there are plenty of 4x4s out there that are lifted and never go off-road...so why hassle with the expense and maintenance of the 4wd if it's not going to be used?

I was considering the 6" but I don't trust myself to put it on and don't feel like getting screwed by 4x4 shops to install it.
If I did a body lift it would be later on.

yeah but those 3" spindles come with 4 hydro shocks shocks and 1 " block all for 450+shipping. What are you going to do with a 1" block set? You need more.
You can get 3" spindles alone off www.airbagit.com for $300
3" shackles are about $50 or you can do a 3" block set from Autozone for about $30

Yea I was just referring to the spindles etc. lol
Just by looking im thinking it would just be easier to just get the RC 6". I'm going to look into it some more. Just like to be sure im buying the right stuff before I spend that amount of money.
