i want to put a hitch on my truck !!! but i have a roll pan !!! HELP

Default i want to put a hitch on my truck !!! but i have a roll pan !!! HELP

03 ram short bed i have a steel roll pan when i got the turck but the tag is off set to the right side corner of the pan, is there a hitch i can get or what can i do ?

There is a tag cover/flipping thingy that flips your tag down to use the hidden hitch. But you say you have the tag to the side of the pan, so i have no idea other than get a new pan with the tag in the middle!!!

yeha i saw a guy who had the same pan as mine with the hitch reciver below his pan and his truck was set up like mine but it was in a add so i couldnt ask him how they did it, nobody knows what i can do? do they make like a reese drop hitch kit or something

i dont how how often you tow but you could put a hitch on and when you tow just remove the roll pan

well my truck is completely shaved and molded together !!! :-( so i cant or i would do that, and i tow alot, is there a hitch drop kit or anything ?

you need a custom hitch made, loose the spare tire and have a square tube bolted or welded in between the frame rails then they take another piece of that 2" square tubing and have it welded to the spanner between the frame rails, but low enough to clear the roll pan but not so low it looks retarded or scrapes the ground....you follow what i mean...cause a hidden hitch is just this flipped upside down ....

But as i said before you need to get the license plate in the middle of the roll pan.....

I hate to say it but you got a problem. Is the original cross member removed? If it is still there you might fab a reciever below the pan, but it would be too low on a lowered truck and IMO look odd. Your choces are not pretty, 1. buy a truck that suits your needs or re-install a hidden hitch and use the approipriate roll pan to hide the hitch. And depending what you are towing perhaps some helper bags if you need them


My pan uses a hitch setup like the one shown.
