Hids and Hellas behind the grille
So I know there have been a ton of questions on Hids lately but I'm good to go on installing them into my pick up and all that good stuff. So on another note. I have the hellas behind my grille and I like them a lot and want to keep using them.
I still have the stock bulbs in the hellas and want to upgrade. I'm going to be upgrading my headlights and fogs to Hids. So I was wondering what some of you guys put in the hellas after you upgraded your headlights and fogs to Hids

I dunno if I'd do 150's in the plastic housed Hella's.
I have 100w Amber bulbs in mine since I only plan on using them in bad weather conditions or for back woods driving. The 100's are WAAAAAY brighter than the 55w stockers. If I put on my HID headlights, I can still see my Hella's over the HID's when faced up against a wall. ZThey are faint, but I can see them so 100w halogen is plenty bright enough for me. They get pretty hot too which is why I wouldn't go 150. 130w would be my maximum reccomendation for those.
As long as you replaced the wiring INSIDE the housings as well, then you are good to go for a bulb upgrade. I was planning on installing HID's myself, but haven't got around to it yet plus I have only used my Hellas twice so far and there are other priorities on the table...
Also, depending on how you have them wired, the higher wattage bulbs may require a beefier switch unless you have a relay? You'll need to up the fuse as well.
