Default Newb with a couple questions

Hi im new to this forum and to dodges. i have posted a couple times and have done a lot of reading on this site the past couple weeks but still have a couple questions about my truck that i couldn't find answers to. to start off i have a 2002 1500 with a 5.9. it is a 4x4 quadcab lifted 9in (6in fabtech lift and 3in body) with 37s. i ran jeeps for a while and decided to get me a truck. as far as my questions, first is with the 37s, would regearing the truck help any with my mileage or getting it up to speed a little easier. i drive mainly around the city and not much highway so would gears help any. i already have a superchips programmer and did the diy cai. next question might sound a little stupid but its bugging me but my windsheild wiper fluid wont spray onto my windsheild like the sprayers aren't working and i have no idea where to start to fix them. any suggestions woud be greatly appreciated. like i said im new to dodges so take it easy on me. thanks

yes gears will help a lot.
i would go with a 4.56 for a 37" tire.

and as to the washer nozzles, when you push in your multifunction switch to spray your windshield can you hear the pump motor in the bottom of your washer solvent reservior buzzing? if not you either have a bad motor or multifunction switch, but honestly i have never seen a multifunction switch go out on the washer spray part of the switch. its more than likely the pump motor.
if you do hear it buzz is it spraying under the hood? and leaking hoses, etc.

yea you were right on with the sprayers. the motor was working fine. i thinks its leaking in the firewall beacuse there were no leaks around the motor and i disconnect to going into the firewall and the fluid was coming out fine. so thanks for the good info on that.

as far as the gearing, i could find anywhere what the stock gearing was but how excatly would regearing it help. i quit dont understand gearing all that great

stock gears will either be 3.55s or 3.92s. the bigger gears you have the easier your truck is gonna be able to turn those huge tires you got there for your truck won't be working as hard.

did you check your plenum in the intake for oil leaking, that is a power loss area for the 5.9 l as well.

Here is everything you need to know. the plenum is a metal plate on the bottom of your intake manifold. The gasket is famous for blowing out and allowing oil to get drawn into your engine. The above link is the DIY for the repair.
