Changing spark plugs
I would put in what you pull out. Why use Platinums when the truck didnt come with it and runs just fine as it is? I changed mine at about 60k or so and all the plugs on the HEMI are the same. As said before, there is no top or bottom. If you went out and looked at your HEMI engine you wold see that and how they are setup.
However, that "top and bottom" design sounds more like how the 4.7 guys do thiers.
So do you have a HEMI (5.7) or the 4.7 engine?

Dielectric grease does not go on the threads, it goes on the top connector. Anti-seize goes on the threads.
I just did my plugs last weekend after reading many threads about them. I used Anti seize on all the threads and dielectric grease on all the plug boots. All of them went fairly smooth with the exception of the 4 near the master cylinder. I used a 5/8 socket with a swivel attached and a 2" extension. I layed a blanket across the engine and layed across the engine. Only took about 20 minutes to remove them and reinstall them. It also helps to remove the intake before you do this.
Just did mine last night , took off the driver side tire and inner fender well and got to the back 4 plugs easier that way , the passenger side took off intake and did all from the top , wasnt a bad project in total about 3 hours i used copper champion plugs .
I bought the Champion copper plugs and some Bosch wires from the Zone and took the truck to a mechanic to install them for me as I've never done it before. When I got the truck back the check engine light came on. So I took it back and he checked the code and said it was a coil pack misfiring.
So he ordered another coil pack, installed it and sent me on my way, no charge!
The total cost was $86 which includes inspection.
